The Corporate Tax Specialist collaborates on various tax compliance, advisory, and planning matters concerning the organization and its subsidiaries (both domestic and international) in the preparation of ETS's tax filings.

The role involves close collaboration with Tax Managers to ensure accurate preparation of ETS's tax returns, thorough reporting of all transactions from a compliance standpoint, examination of tax and data-related issues, and periodic reviews of transaction data for precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support compliance for sales tax, VAT, income, and franchise taxes, including accounting, research, and planning

• Prepare the organization's tax returns

• Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance reporting for ETS and its subsidiaries alongside tax and accounting compliance teams

• Review corporate agreements for value-added tax implications

• Research legal obligations and government reporting regulations impacting income tax matters for federal planning initiatives

• Address tax inquiries from internal stakeholders and departments

• Maintain an up-to-date tax calendar

• Assist in the preparation of income tax provisions and tax accruals

• Conduct analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts

• Support tax initiatives and departmental projects

• Uphold ethical standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the role

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (tax emphasis preferred)

• CPA designation preferred

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate or public accounting

• Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and independent judgment

• Familiarity with tax concepts necessary for preparing Federal and State fiduciary tax returns

• Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft accounting systems

• Experience with Vertex is a plus.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills
