About the Role

Dow Jones is seeking a highly skilled Research Editor to join our Due Diligence team. As a Research Editor, you will play a critical role in the creation of high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals, utilizing a combination of publicly-available sources and proprietary databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure reports are timely, complete, and accurate, adhering to Dow Jones quality standards.
  • Summarize complex information from another language into English, providing clear and concise translations.
  • Compile and summarize information from multiple sources, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform testing of new or enhanced system and product functionality, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Support training of future members of staff, sharing expertise and knowledge.
  • Contribute to both team and product-initiated projects, leveraging research skills and expertise.
  • Support Research and Compliance with translation services as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent English writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional language, including Chinese, Portuguese, French, German, Hebrew, Dutch, Nordic languages, Russian, or Arabic.
  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and politics, with a strong research background.
  • Strong research skills, including online search tools, and an openness to different views and opinions.
  • An appreciation for team diversity and a commitment to creating inclusive work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the field of Due Diligence, with a strong understanding of corporate intelligence.
  • Specialist legal, business, or financial knowledge, with a strong analytical background.
