Overview of Process Engineering at Cardinal Health:
Engineering plays a crucial role in conducting research and analysis to create design alternatives for components, products, systems, and processes.

Process Engineering is tasked with evaluating and analyzing both supplier and internal processes to assess their capabilities. This includes identifying and implementing process enhancements, as well as supporting the supplier evaluation and selection process. The role may also involve directing external resources or contractors as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and implement process enhancements aimed at boosting efficiency, lowering costs, and improving product quality. Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to foster continuous improvement.
  • Design, develop, and refine manufacturing processes for both new and existing products, ensuring that these processes are robust, scalable, and capable of fulfilling production requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in process engineering, acting as a mentor and coach to junior engineers and team members.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all processes adhere to regulatory and quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective measures for process-related challenges.
  • Lead and manage process engineering projects from inception to completion, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, while ensuring timely and within-scope delivery.
  • Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of process improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure that all processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Stay updated with advancements in process engineering and relevant regulations.

Assist maintenance teams in securing capital for maintenance of business (MOB) projects and manage associated timelines.


Qualifications:
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Compensation:
Anticipated salary range: $87,900 - $125,600/year. Bonus eligibility: No.
