Position Overview: The Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will play a pivotal role in recognizing new business prospects, nurturing and sustaining client relationships, and overseeing the sales cycle from initial lead generation to finalizing agreements. This position requires a deep understanding of client requirements, crafting tailored solutions, and meeting sales objectives to propel company expansion.
Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Conduct market analysis and lead generation efforts. Engage with current clients to uncover new opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Establish and enhance connections with both new and existing clients through consistent communication, meetings, and site visits. Participate in industry conferences and networking events to foster relationships and pinpoint business opportunities.
- Proposal Management: Handle Requests for Quotations (RFQs), create quotes, and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared. Engage in proposal development discussions and deliver comprehensive proposals. Follow up with clients to address inquiries and manage relationships throughout the quoting process.
- Project Participation: Engage in project discussions, provide quotes, resolve issues, negotiate payment terms, and coordinate legal documentation related to RFQs and contracts.
- Closing Deals: Finalize business agreements that align with corporate goals and achieve annual booking targets. Maintain CRM systems with up-to-date sales information and opportunities.
- Client Communication: Ensure regular updates to clients regarding job progress, respond promptly to inquiries, facilitate meetings with stakeholders, and set realistic expectations.
- Collaboration: Ensure all necessary estimates and work are communicated clearly, adapting to various company processes and proactively engaging pre- and post-purchase order.
Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma is required; a degree in engineering, sciences, economics, or business is preferred.
- Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; established knowledge and relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and government entities.
- A minimum of five to ten years of prior sales or engineering experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential. The candidate must be self-motivated and capable of following through on necessary steps while collaborating with our Customer Focused Team (CFT) and executive staff.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
