What Process Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Engineering plays a crucial role in conducting research and evaluations to create design alternatives for components, products, systems, and processes.
Process Engineering focuses on evaluating and analyzing both supplier and internal processes to assess their capabilities. This includes identifying and implementing enhancements to processes, as well as supporting the assessment and selection of suppliers. Additionally, it involves directing external resources and contractors as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Identify, develop, and execute process enhancements aimed at boosting efficiency, minimizing costs, and improving product quality.
+ Employ lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to foster continuous improvement.
+ Design, develop, and refine manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.
+ Ensure that processes are robust, scalable, and capable of fulfilling production requirements.
+ Provide technical guidance and expertise in process engineering, acting as a mentor and coach to junior engineers and team members.
+ Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all processes adhere to regulatory and quality standards.
+ Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective measures for process-related challenges.
+ Lead and oversee process engineering projects from inception to completion.
+ Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
+ Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of process improvements.
+ Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
+ Supervise the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
+ Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Stay updated with advancements in process engineering and relevant regulations.
+ Assist maintenance in securing funding for maintenance of business (MOB) projects and manage timelines.
Qualifications:
+ 4-8 years of relevant experience is preferred.
+ A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
Anticipated Salary Range: $87,900-$125,600/year
