Building Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. This involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure that all systems are functioning within design capabilities and meeting environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all systems are functioning within design capabilities and meeting environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
- Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
