AV3, Inc. is a leading provider of Audiovisual (AV) Systems Integration services. We are seeking a skilled Senior Audio Visual Programmer to join our team.



This position will be responsible for coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing new AV software and updates to existing ones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV programming and experience working with AV systems such as AMX, Crestron, and Extron.



The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Completing assigned software implementation tasks with high quality and on schedule
  • Writing structured application/interface code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards for AV systems
  • Conducting unit tests of new or modified AV applications
  • Updating firmware on AV equipment
  • Reading AV drawings
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specifications
  • Writing or revising program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides
  • Proactively monitoring the performance of assigned application software and making approved changes to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness
  • Diagnosing and correcting applications and software problems and improving operating performance
  • Documenting new programs or changes to existing programs
  • Performing preventive and routine maintenance
  • Designing touch panel interfaces
  • Assisting engineers with system design
  • Configuring digital signal processors, A/V switchers, and other devices
  • Customizing systems to meet end-user requirements
  • Identifying software/hardware issues and troubleshooting them
  • Providing support for existing systems
  • Performing all other duties as assigned


To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline and at least 7 years of AV programming experience. Additional qualifications include AMX Certified Programmer, Extron Authorized Programmer, Extron Control Specialist, and Crestron Masters Certified Programmer.
