The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Career Progression Manager to join its Office of Human Resources. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of organizational development, human resources principles, and career development strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement career development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
- Provide leadership and direction to the development and implementation of the VADOC's Master Corrections Officer program
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop training programs
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze data to inform career development strategies
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to support career advancement
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, career development, or related field
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and policies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze data and develop strategic plans
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI)
- Experience in career development, training, and organizational development
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
