Position Summary
The Construction Loan Support Specialist plays a crucial role in managing construction draw requests and ensuring the precise processing of loan documentation. This includes preparing, reviewing, and funding loans within the Bank's core system while adhering to established policies and procedures. The role demands a solid understanding of General Ledger balancing, along with the ability to scan and index loan documents efficiently, ensuring high-quality control throughout the process.

- Manage, process, and maintain records for construction loan draw requests in accordance with departmental guidelines, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of draw packages prior to approvals and funding.
- Order and assess Construction Inspection reports to track project progress.
- Engage with front-line staff to address payment posting inquiries.
- Handle incoming communications professionally and courteously, ensuring accurate responses to calls and emails.
- Safeguard the security and confidentiality of sensitive customer information.
- Oversee and track loan exceptions, covenants, and financial updates for borrowers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in documentation using LaserPro for various Commercial Loans, including Commercial C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and Commercial Construction Loans.
- Conduct quality control reviews of peer documentation related to transactions.
- Collaborate with Core Vendor (DCI) to resolve system errors as needed.
- Adapt to changes in the production environment and exhibit a willingness to acquire new skills.
- Investigate and compile supporting documentation to identify and resolve issues or exceptions that may arise.
- Capable of boarding and funding loans within the Core system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities while demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Capable of working amidst frequent interruptions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and iCore.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly across various settings and audiences.
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or two to four years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to remain stationary and operate office equipment, such as computers and multi-line telephones. The role involves regular communication with internal and external contacts and requires mobility within the office to access filing systems and equipment.
