Job Title: After Hours Support Specialist

Cocoon House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate After Hours Support Specialist to join our team. As an After Hours Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for teens in our care, promoting positive interaction, and delivering life skills and social skills training at our Youth Housing Programs in Everett and Monroe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-call after-hours shift scheduling and coverage, responding to staff calls about youth emergencies.
  • Assist residents with needs, including support, problem-solving, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and enforcing house guidelines.
  • Engage with staff members in a collaborative and supportive way to meet the needs of the youth, programs, and staff.
  • Maintain ongoing training requirements and engage youth using a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
  • Work with case management to ensure smooth transitions into and out of units.
  • Ensure files for residents are complete and contain all necessary paperwork to meet grant and funding requirements.
  • Become familiar with licensing requirements and ensure staff and programs maintain proper licensing standards.
  • Assess crisis situations and provide support to staff and youth while communicating with agency leadership as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or high school equivalency.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 1 year minimum of experience working with youth.
  • DCYF background clearance.
  • Acceptable driver's abstract with no more than 2 violations within the last 3 years.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
