Reservations Oversight
  • Oversee all incoming reservations and ensure timely responses.
  • Handle reservations for all special event weekends.
  • Participate in weekly meetings focused on Revenue Management, Group pick-up, Reservations, and Sales.
  • Assist in maintaining group selective targets and make necessary adjustments in the management system.
  • Verify duplicate reservations by contacting guests to confirm names and special requests.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Department on group rooming lists, reservation modifications, and billing as per agreements.
  • Monitor daily room type availability.
  • Keep track of non-guaranteed reservations on a daily basis.
  • Cancel reservations as required.
  • Create and manage group and transient room blocks.
  • Ensure all reservations have accurate billing and necessary details.
  • Monitor online travel agency reservations and requests.
  • Assist in processing all VIP and internal reservations, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Investigate and charge for no-show reservations.
  • Pre-block special requests and group assignments daily.
  • Develop rates and packages within the management system.
  • Create a daily listing of available rooms.
  • Possess knowledge of all Property Management Systems.
  • Support the Front Desk team as needed.
  • Train Front Office associates in reservation procedures.
  • Monitor reservations and discrepancies in the system.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Revenue Management
  • Manage room inventory to ensure optimal allocation and restrictions to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Responsible for developing rates, packages, and sales strategies within the hotel inventory systems.
  • Conduct revenue, profit, and demand analysis related to hotel rooms.
  • Contribute to forecasts, budgets, and both weekly and daily projections.
  • Prepare historical and prospective analyses of revenue and profit opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the yield management process and its daily execution across all property management systems.
  • Work alongside the General Manager to implement appropriate yield controls to enhance hotel revenue from all distribution channels.
  • Continuously monitor hotel status throughout the day, adjusting inventory controls as necessary and communicating changes to the strategy team.
  • Create and maintain a rolling 12-month demand calendar.
  • Keep track of competitor pricing and understand local market dynamics and demand drivers.
  • Assist in monitoring group blocks to ascertain rooms available for transient customers, understanding group pick-up history and managing cut-off dates effectively.
  • Review daily arrivals and revenue reports for accuracy.
  • Manage brand and third-party distribution channels.
  • Analyze competitive occupancy and rates, recommending adjustments based on findings.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide insights on strategies for negotiating and securing optimal group and catering business.
  • Prepare and present the hotel’s weekly and long-term room forecasts for group and transient reservations.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the hospitality sector, demonstrating a track record of advancement and currently holding a management position.
