Role: Business Analyst

Role Overview:

This role is intended for a seasoned Business Analyst with a strong background in technology projects, serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional technology teams. The Analyst will evaluate existing processes and systems, assessing the business model and its synergy with technology. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, diagnosing issues, and extracting requirements/stories from business teams. The Analyst will also gather and apply technical insights into use cases, process models, technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and more, integrating them into JIRA Epics & Stories for team execution. Close collaboration with the Development Team will be essential to refine and estimate story requirements. The Analyst will participate in an Agile Scrum team, working alongside the Product Owner to assess Features, draft effective user stories, document business rules, and collaborate with Developers to review technical designs, identify enablers, and dependencies. This role requires acting as the communication bridge between technology teams and business stakeholders/product owners.

Essential Skills:

• Strong analytical capabilities, working closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and contribute to the definition of technical solutions.

• Proven experience in documenting detailed functional and technical requirements for business needs in JIRA.

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with developers to ensure acceptance criteria for user stories are clearly understood and implemented.

• Provide support to UAT and SIT testers to clarify requirements and determine whether a defect is a new requirement or a genuine defect.

• Collaborate with Testers to ensure that test plans and scripts adequately address the requirements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions effectively.

• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

• Capacity to analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
