Position Summary:

Hood Container Corporation (HCC) is seeking a meticulous and customer-oriented Project Manager to enhance our dynamic team. This position is crucial in providing exceptional customer and sales support, managing orders from initial design through to billing, and ensuring the smooth acquisition of necessary tools for projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the corrugated sector, along with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word, while prioritizing customer satisfaction and achieving production and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients via calls and emails, effectively addressing issues and emergencies.
  • Confirm delivery timelines, proactively managing any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and issue formal quotes or re-quotes as necessary.
  • Coordinate the procurement of ink matches for new colors, ensuring client approval.
  • Oversee the acquisition of all essential tooling for projects, selecting the best vendors for our operations and clients.
  • Organize and lead preproduction meetings for new display initiatives.
  • Input new or repeat orders into Amtech and distribute necessary documentation to the production team.
  • Initiate all external purchase orders required for project completion.
  • Collaborate with Production Support on kitting or packing requirements, providing detailed order information.
  • Track production progress and promptly communicate status updates to clients.
  • Provide assistance to sales representatives as needed.
  • Help resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Report non-conformances and issue RGAs for necessary credits.
  • Maintain accurate pricing files, specifications, and other relevant data within the Amtech system.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the corrugated industry.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Amtech and Sharepoint software.
