Position Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, contributing to various engineering support activities within our projects. This role may involve travel and long-term assignments as needed.

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will employ critical thinking skills throughout the planning, procurement, design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects. We expect our engineers to be innovative problem solvers, consistently seeking the most effective ways to support our diverse clientele. You may manage multiple projects concurrently and undertake additional responsibilities as required. This position provides immediate opportunities for professional growth while addressing challenges in the engineering and construction sectors. Engineers typically engage in both fieldwork (domestic and international) and office tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze engineering data, develop project design criteria, and create specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Contribute to conceptual design, calculations, system studies, and technical drawings.
  • Assist in compiling data for project reports, collecting field data, and supporting proposal efforts.
  • Document technical information for management review and assist in preparing labor/material estimates.
  • Maintain awareness of costs and schedules related to your work.
  • Organize your tasks to meet deadlines set by others.
  • Communicate effectively, seek clarification, and ensure understanding.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in nuclear, electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering, with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous engineering internship experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with engineering theories, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and technical engineering software).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check for access to government facilities.
  • FE and EIT candidates are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team setting.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
