Job Summary:

To provide comprehensive support to the HR Department at Seneca Companies, including recruitment, employee relations, and general HR functions. This role involves recruiting new hires, onboarding, and tracking hiring documentation, as well as training and education on company policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing onboarding administration, including background checks, reference checks, and ensuring pre-employment physicals and drug screens are complete.
  • Scheduling and conducting all onboarding processes, ensuring completion of all new hire paperwork.
  • Maintaining employee files, I9's, scorecards, and employee referrals.
  • Supporting the human resources team with compliance and auditing.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related fields, or a combination of two years of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 1 year of professional/exclusive Human Resources coordination experience, preferably with experience in environmental and construction regulations and requirements (EPA, OSHA).
  • Human Resources designations (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPLP, ISPP) are preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS, HRMS applications, including system administration, and a high-level of Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) experience, including SharePoint.
