Job Description

StepStone Hospitality Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and at least 3 years in a leadership role.

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for:

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring candidates for open positions
  • Analyzing and designing training classes for management and associates
  • Interpreting and enforcing company policies and employment laws
  • Overseeing disciplinary actions and maintaining associate personnel files
  • Conducting annual local hotel wage and benefits surveys
  • Ensuring associates receive appropriate performance reviews and wage increases
  • Planning and coordinating general meetings, associate gatherings, and incentive programs
  • Maintaining close working relationships with management team
  • Participating in the preparation of the annual hotel budget

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Minimum lifting of 20 pounds
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
  • Hearing, writing, typing
  • Minimum pulling of 20 pounds
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
  • Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills
  • High school education and relevant training and experience required
  • CPR training and first aid training preferred
  • Additional language ability preferred
