Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the strategic and daily operations of our Dover branch. As the Community Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive membership and program enrollment growth
  • Ensuring high-quality programs and excellent customer service
  • Building strong relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Managing a team of staff and volunteers to achieve organizational objectives
  • Overseeing the budgeting process and ensuring financial stability

Essential Functions

The Community Director will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the team achieves high levels of performance to deliver a transformative Y experience
  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive membership and program enrollment growth
  • Building strong relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Managing a team of staff and volunteers to achieve organizational objectives
  • Overseeing the budgeting process and ensuring financial stability
Minimum Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Experience working with boards, supervising government contracts, and demonstrated growth in fundraising campaigns
  • Three to five years of demonstrated leadership experience in branch operations, staff management, board development, membership marketing, financial management, fundraising, and community program development
  • Ability to think conceptually, with good analytical skills and assertiveness to manage the scope and diversity of responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer a candidate with:

  • Bilingual skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • YMCA leadership experience
