About Us:

Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. (BCCS) has been a reputable provider of exceptional substance abuse and behavioral health services since 1985. Our organization is dedicated to assisting individuals in our community to recover with dignity, enhancing their quality of life through comprehensive support in Education, Advocacy, Prevention, Early Intervention, and Treatment Services. We strive to instill hope and empowerment in those affected by mental health challenges, substance misuse, HIV, and co-occurring disorders.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The Prevention Supervisor operates under the guidance of the Prevention Program Manager.
  • This role involves overseeing and managing personnel within the Alcohol & Other Drugs Programs, including AOD, FASD, SAMP, or RTR.
  • Establishing partnerships with various organizations to further our prevention initiatives and organizational objectives is essential.
  • The Prevention Supervisor is tasked with delivering educational presentations to the community and participating in various taskforce, coalition, and community meetings.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the agency's diverse services and collaborative programs is necessary for effective community communication.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional communication and presentation skills are critical for success in this position.
  • Maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor in all interactions with participants, staff, and the public is expected.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, appropriate services while upholding professional standards is a key responsibility.
  • Collaboration with the Director of Prevention & Early Intervention, the Prevention Program Manager, Drop-in Center staff, and other Prevention personnel is required.
  • Fostering positive working relationships with all BCCS staff and consultants is vital.

Compensation:

  • Starting salary at $22/hour
  • Salary commensurate with experience and education

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social services, psychology, or communications.
  • Mandatory: 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Mandatory: Knowledge of Primary Prevention strategies, including substance misuse and early interventions.
  • Mandatory: Valid driver's license with no more than 2 points.
