Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Store Director to develop a localized merchandising strategy for the department.
- Implement approved procedures for receiving product, pricing, and restocking cases to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Monitor inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking, resulting in cost savings and improved customer satisfaction.
- Train, schedule, and supervise produce department personnel to ensure excellent customer service and a positive store experience.
- Maintain a clean and attractive department atmosphere to establish a favorable image with customers and promote sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, sanitation, safety, and security protocols to protect employees, customers, and assets.
Requirements:
- A high school education or equivalent is required.
- At least two years of experience in a produce-related role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to perform tasks related to receiving and stocking product.
