Job Title: Clinical Lab Field Service Representative

Job Summary:

The Clinical Lab Field Service Representative will be responsible for establishing relationships with healthcare providers, introducing laboratory services, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Building: Establish leads and introduce laboratory services by delivering sales presentations to increase the chances of completing a sale.
  • Client Service: Maintain excellent working relationships with all clients and their staff by providing excellent service and getting involved in training and problem resolution.
  • Relationship Development: Spend 80% of time building relationships with doctors or key individuals, uncovering needs, and presenting ways that our company services can add value.
  • Issue Resolution: Report any issues to the Laboratory Manager and/or UWL Program Manager and follow through with the resolution.
  • Compliance: Be familiar with, and adhere to, Compliance Policies and explain relevant issues to clients.
  • Supply Management: Ensure that any supplies that are given to clients are in accordance with hospital policy and are reasonable based upon usage.
  • Reporting: Responsible for filling out and reporting on a daily basis the calls made, including the purpose of the call.
  • Client Interaction: Responsible to treat all clients with honesty, dignity, courtesy, and respect.
  • Communication: Maintain constant communication and coordination with operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Supply Delivery: Deliver supplies when needed.
  2. Courier Services: Perform the duties of a courier if called upon.
  3. Billing Support: Participate in the billing process, including separating clean and incomplete requisitions or cleaning incomplete requisitions, if called upon.
  4. Vehicle Insurance: Responsible for obtaining personal vehicle insurance.
  5. Other Duties: Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting: Continuous sitting (up to 8 hrs/day).
  • Walking and Standing: Continuous walking, continuous standing (up to 8 hrs/day).
  • Bending and Climbing: Intermittent bending, squatting, and climbing.
  • Grasping and Manipulation: Simple grasping with both hands, fine manipulation with both hands, repetitive movement.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of 10 lb. or less; occasional lifting of 11 to 35 lb.
