Position Overview

As a key member of our Water business unit, we are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer with a focus on municipal projects. Your Role

In this role, you will collaborate with municipal staff to oversee and execute multi-disciplinary projects. You will serve as the project engineer, coordinating efforts across various teams to deliver engineering and construction services effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the design and planning of public improvement initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades and community enhancements.
  • Conducting technical assessments of public infrastructure and land development proposals, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Facilitating communication between developers and municipal staff throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reviewing construction plans and permits to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Coordinating preconstruction meetings and maintaining communication between design and field teams during construction.
  • Participating in development meetings and providing insights during public forums.
  • Offering support to construction services and performing site oversight as necessary.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and organized, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in GIS and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of relevant civil engineering experience, particularly in municipal services, with a preference for candidates with construction experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
