This position involves leading an engineering team within our civil and water/wastewater design divisions. These teams are dedicated to delivering design engineering and construction management services to municipalities across various regions. Typical projects encompass a diverse range of municipal and private initiatives, including water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, grading, sewer systems, and water analysis.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both conceptual and detailed design along with hydraulic calculations and analyses.
  • Develop comprehensive engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and appropriate documentation in various reports and design projects.
  • Interpret specifications and drawings, recommending design modifications and coordinating with the design team.
  • Review contractor submissions for compliance with engineering specifications and drawings, addressing requests for additional information.
  • Provide on-site resident engineer oversight during project construction to ensure adherence to contract designs and specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required, or the ability to obtain it within one year.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and designing water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, word processing, and scheduling software, as well as AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Revit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • This role may require occasional travel, approximately 15% or more.
