CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION: Leapros has partnered with a prominent Electrical Contractor seeking to fill the direct-hire position of Electrical Service Department Manager. This role presents an exciting opportunity to oversee the Service Department, paving the way for a fulfilling and long-lasting career.

POSITION TITLE: Electrical Service Department Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrical Service Department Manager is accountable for the comprehensive direction and implementation of electrical service and specialized projects in alignment with the company's strategic objectives, core values, and project commitments.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Develop and organize project plans.
  • Schedule projects, estimate costs, procure materials, and nurture client relationships.
  • Negotiate and resolve issues related to Change Orders, Requests for Information, and Contract Scope of Work promptly.
  • Maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure high customer satisfaction and service quality.
  • Participate in project meetings and conference calls.
  • Oversee financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing, rental equipment, and income/expenses to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Manage all project closeout procedures, including documentation, filing, record drawings, and team debriefing.
  • Provide daily coaching and guidance to field supervisors to ensure project success.
  • Supervise a team of 7-15 Service Technicians in collaboration with the Service Superintendent.
  • Work closely with the Service Superintendent to ensure project satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 4 years of relevant project management experience with an electrical contractor.
  • A field background to possess practical knowledge.
  • Experience managing multiple electrical service projects with budgets ranging from $15,000 to $100,000, including emergency and large-scale service projects.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, high-volume work environment.
  • Capability to manage and oversee several projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional computer proficiency.
  • Strong skills in budget tracking, labor management, and scheduling.
  • Technologically adept.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The estimated pay range for this position is between $115,000 and $125,000. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and other relevant factors.
