POSITION TITLE: Electrical Service Department Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrical Service Department Manager is accountable for the comprehensive oversight and implementation of electrical service and specialized projects in alignment with the company's strategic objectives, core values, and project commitments.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Strategically plan and organize projects.
  • Schedule projects, estimate costs, procure materials, and nurture client relationships.
  • Negotiate and resolve issues related to Change Orders, Requests for Information, and Contract Scope of Work promptly.
  • Maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure customer satisfaction and service quality.
  • Participate in project meetings and conference calls.
  • Oversee financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing and expense management, to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Manage all project closeout procedures, including documentation, filing, record drawings, and team debriefing.
  • Provide daily coaching and guidance to field supervisors to ensure project success.
  • Effectively manage a team of 7-15 Service Technicians in collaboration with the Service Superintendent.
  • Regularly collaborate with the Service Superintendent to ensure project satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant project management experience with an electrical contractor.
  • A field background to possess practical knowledge.
  • Experience in managing multiple electrical service projects with budgets ranging from $15,000 to $100,000, including emergency and large-scale service projects.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional computer proficiency.
  • Strong skills in budget tracking, labor management, and scheduling.
  • Technologically adept.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The estimated pay range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and other factors relevant to the role.
