What will your role entail?
  • GAF Energy is on the lookout for an Assistant Manager of Electrical Services who will be pivotal in our mission to capture energy from rooftops while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • This dynamic position will report to the Senior Regional Services Manager and collaborate within a cross-functional team to guarantee the success of electrical services.
  • The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in residential solar, EV, or stationary storage and excel in a fast-paced environment. With exceptional technical knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication abilities, you will help us safeguard what is most important.
  • This individual will serve as a vital team member, providing technical support to our roofing partners, homeowner clients, the electrician network, project coordinators, and various state and local authorities.
  • This role involves delivering in-field electrical services, troubleshooting systems, and offering training assistance to electricians and roofing partners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing internal teams and coordinating external subcontractors to ensure the successful installation of PV electrical systems (Timberline Solar).
  • Managing the capacity of our qualified electrical service provider network.
  • Coordinating schedules and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery while meeting service standards.
  • Monitoring job progress, inspecting, and reviewing project documentation.
  • Taking ownership of and resolving any technical escalations.
  • Maintaining a productive and informed relationship with partners, electricians, and regulatory authorities.
  • Supervising field electricians to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Troubleshooting, resolving, and enhancing systems to guarantee long-term reliability.
  • Keeping accurate records of material usage and ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management and operational experience in residential renewable energy services.
  • 3-5 years of relevant hands-on experience in general trades, residential solar, EV, or stationary storage.
  • Prior leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide electricians in technical projects.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and verify electrical plans and calculations.
  • Strong understanding of codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a quick learner of systems.
  • Experience in drafting scope of work documents and managing subcontractors.
  • Highly organized, accountable, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30 or other relevant certifications.
  • A valid state-issued electrical license is advantageous but not mandatory.
