Position Overview

The eBay Collectibles Team is in search of a Category Lead for US Trading Cards to work closely with our top sellers and support them in reaching their GMB and profitability goals. You will engage externally with sellers and brands, as well as internally with Product Teams, Marketing, and Analytics, to advance our business objectives. Collaborating with the Collectibles Team, you will broaden our offerings, strengthen our trust with customers (both buyers and sellers), and deliver an exceptional collecting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement the annual operational strategy for your sellers. Assist them in understanding the factors that influence seller performance on eBay and guide them in executing the strategy.
  • Work alongside your sellers to pinpoint selection opportunities to curate a collection of cards and memorabilia for our customers.
  • Manage eBay's buyer and seller trust metrics through initiatives that boost customer confidence in transactions on eBay.
  • Engage with consumer insights, sellers, and buyers to identify customer challenges and communicate their significance to cross-functional teams for resolution.
  • Analyze the business to understand key drivers and regularly report on essential business metrics such as conversion rate, ASP, top buyer/seller growth, listings growth, lead time, CSAT, and more.
  • Establish a 52-week calendar that outlines significant retail moments and seasonal events to enhance relevance, visibility, and GMV growth through collaborations with the merchandising team.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities as a business owner in an online retail or marketplace environment. Experience in merchandising or startups is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred or equivalent.
  • Execution-focused, growth-oriented, and accountable for driving performance against established critical metrics.
  • In-depth understanding of the digital landscape.
  • Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt strategies in response to changing marketplace trends.
  • Experience in influencing and negotiating with external partners.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at achieving mutually beneficial outcomes with third parties in complex negotiations.
  • Expertise in executive-level presentation and communication.
  • Additional: Passion for Sports Memorabilia with a broader interest in Collectibles/Vinyl Records, including relevant experience and connections with key industry players.

The compensation range for this role at the start of employment in California, Washington, or New York is within the specified range.

Base pay offered may vary based on various individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also encompass other components, such as a target bonus, restricted stock units, and an array of medical, financial, and other benefits. Specifics regarding participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon receiving an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will hold an 'at-will position,' and the Company reserves the right to adjust base salary and other discretionary compensation programs at any time, considering factors like individual performance, Company performance, and market conditions.
