As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our Seattle office, contributing to a team dedicated to executing significant projects and promoting professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Review: Examine and interpret contract documents and specifications across various project categories, including hard-bid/lump sum, construction management, and design-build.
  • Schedule Development: Create critical path schedules with key milestones to guarantee timely project delivery.
  • Comprehensive Take-Offs: Conduct detailed take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials for extensive scopes of work.
  • Pricing Strategy: Direct the pricing approach for general expenses and project-specific needs for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Estimate Preparation: Generate as-bid estimates and devise trade buy-out strategies in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Client Engagement: Aid in the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform risk and opportunity evaluations to incorporate into the project's risk register.
  • Tender Management: Collaborate with external consultants and oversee the tender development process.
  • Success Monitoring: Track and ensure that project-specific success criteria are achieved, providing innovative solutions to challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent trade experience.
  • Gold Seal certification in estimating (CDN).
  • 12+ years of experience in construction cost estimating with preferred onsite experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects valued up to $250 million.
  • Strong grasp of construction methodologies, planning, and scheduling.
  • Extensive knowledge of bid preparation, trade procurement, and bid closing processes.
  • Expertise in contract terms and risk identification.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly verbal.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Highly adaptable to manage diverse workloads.
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive approach.
  • Mentoring mindset with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-driven and resourceful with excellent organizational skills.
