POSITION OVERVIEW
This role can be filled at either the Operations Training Specialist Level or the Senior Operations Training Level.

Salary Expectations:
The anticipated salary range for an Operations Training Specialist is between $105,300 and $117,000 annually, contingent on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan. For a Senior Operations Training Specialist, the expected salary range is $130,500 to $145,000 annually, also dependent on experience, with a similar benefits package.

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Exhibit a high level of expertise and extensive knowledge in executing tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed adjustments of nuclear operations training programs specific to the plant.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Enhancing station and personnel performance through effective training.
  • Coordinating and delivering performance-based training programs as required by the user community, adhering to Constellation's training model and departmental protocols.
  • Ensuring training programs remain up-to-date, integrating insights from significant operational experience reports, regulatory bulletins, and plant modifications.
  • Preparing assessments for trainees and conducting evaluations across various training environments, including classroom and simulator settings.
  • Supporting business initiatives, project management, and special projects as needed.
  • Participating in audits and preparing responses to findings.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of plant operations and training methodologies.
  • Overseeing the collection and maintenance of training records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
For the Operations Training Specialist: An Associate’s degree in science, engineering, or education/training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience, or 6 years of related experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in education/training with 2 years of teaching experience.

For the Senior Operations Training Specialist: A current or previous senior reactor operator license, or a reactor operator license with 4 years of relevant experience (must obtain SRO certification within 18 months), or an SRO certification with 4 years of experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or education/training, along with 6+ years of training experience in a nuclear power plant environment.
