Salary Expectations

The anticipated salary range for an Engineering Instructor is between $98,100 and $109,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k). For a Senior Engineering Instructor, the expected salary range is $113,400 to $126,000 per year, also varying based on experience, along with a similar benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

Main Purpose of the Role

The Engineering Instructor will demonstrate exceptional expertise and extensive knowledge in executing tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of specialized nuclear maintenance and technical training programs.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enhances station and personnel performance through targeted training initiatives. Coordinates and delivers performance-based maintenance and technical training programs in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Ensures training programs remain current by integrating insights from industry reports, regulatory updates, and procedural changes.
  • Designs trainee assessments and conducts evaluations across various training environments, providing personalized training recommendations as needed.
  • Supports business initiatives, project management, and special projects as required.
  • Participates in audits and prepares responses to findings, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of plant operations and training methodologies to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
  • Oversees the documentation and maintenance of training records to ensure compliance and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications for Engineering Instructor

  • High School diploma
  • 3+ years of technical or craft nuclear experience or 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications for Senior Engineering Instructor

  • High School diploma
  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 2+ years in a training or educational role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for All Levels

  • Associate's degree in science or engineering
  • 5-7+ years of nuclear power plant technical experience in relevant instructional disciplines or 10+ years of related industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in nuclear training
