Role Overview: This position is pivotal in overseeing the Outage Valve Services Technicians throughout the Constellation Nuclear fleet, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance aligned with our organizational goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise a multi-craft workforce to ensure adherence to procedures, human performance fundamentals, and provide necessary coaching and mentoring for continuous improvement.
- Make recommendations for training, procedural updates, and other requirements to enhance the safe and efficient execution of Outage Valve Services.
- Support all stations within the assigned region, with travel required to meet operational needs.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and effectively by qualified personnel, in compliance with plant procedures and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the Outage Valve Team, ensuring proper supervision, training, and qualifications for all personnel.
- Manage project and maintenance activities of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring successful execution of outage valve maintenance and online projects.
- Participate in work control, coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings to ensure proper planning and readiness of assigned work.
- Administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management for team members, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Supervise vendor inspections and repairs of plant equipment, ensuring effective procurement and utilization of materials and tools.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience with large bore valves, including in-body welding.
- At least three years of experience in maintenance within a nuclear power plant environment.
- Proven experience in supervising maintenance craft personnel in an operational nuclear facility.
