Human Resources Director

The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive work environment, ensuring the growth and development of employee relations within the healthcare industry. This key position is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously evaluating and improving the Human Resources infrastructure, encompassing employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, HR processes, training, compliance, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project a professional and respectful attitude, representing the HR team in a positive light within the community and maintaining a respectful demeanor when interacting with employees, patients, and the public.
- Foster open communication with employees, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Attend and participate in meetings, work groups, and team meetings, driving collaboration and strategic goal achievement.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all company policies and procedures, ensuring employees understand expectations by creating, recommending, and implementing personnel policies and procedures.
- Oversee the recruitment process for all exempt and nonexempt positions, participating in screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates, and writing and placing job advertisements.
- Provide guidance and consultation on problem-solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and litigation avoidance, striving to resolve internal conflicts informally through conflict management and mediation techniques.
- Ensure payroll accuracy for all employees, overseeing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
- Manage benefits administration, including annual health/ancillary benefits selection and open enrollment, and accurate management of the employee 401k program.
- Maintain Human Resources Information System (ADP) records accuracy.
- Implement and annually update the compensation program, rewriting job descriptions as necessary, conducting salary surveys, and developing the merit pool (salary budget).
- Coordinate the Annual Performance Review process and offer guidance for Performance Improvement Plans throughout the review period.
- Ensure employee/personnel files are properly set up and maintained.
- Maintain and process all unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, preferred, with 5 years of healthcare-related experience.
- Three (3)+ years of experience in healthcare operations/administration.
- Two (2)+ years of management experience, preferably in a medical office environment.
