Position Overview

Your Role

As a Systems Engineer specializing in Enterprise Acquisition Sales, you will collaborate closely with an Account Manager focused on acquiring new clients. In this capacity, you will provide technical expertise and guidance throughout your clients' zero trust journey. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting technical solutions that align with your clients' critical business objectives. You will advocate for our industry-leading solutions in on-premises, cloud, and security services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the cybersecurity partner of choice for your clients.

Your Contributions

Curiosity is essential in the Systems Engineer role, allowing you to view complex challenges as opportunities for innovation. Your impact will be defined by:
  • Achieving and surpassing sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans aimed at cross-platform solutions.
  • Conducting thorough discovery processes to identify and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial needs of prospects and clients.
  • Designing and implementing compelling technical and business-focused solutions that promote adoption and growth post-sale across the portfolio.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills and the ability to influence through effective presentations, customer-specific demonstrations, and technical workshops.
  • Coordinating resources to ensure a unified approach that reflects a cohesive strategy.
  • Promoting comprehensive solutions that incorporate Palo Alto Networks and/or partner professional services to expedite customer realization of business value.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape to effectively differentiate our leadership position.
  • Continuously enhancing your technical and professional skills to increase your contributions to customer success while actively engaging with the Systems Engineering community and participating in industry events.
Qualifications

Your Background
  • In-depth technical knowledge of data networking.
  • Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives.
  • Ability to influence and secure buy-in from key stakeholders in both customer-facing and internal roles; prior experience in a pre-sales capacity is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
  • Experience as a quota-carrying sales engineer with a background in implementing and/or managing SaaS/SASE/cloud/managed/on-prem solutions is highly desirable.
  • Collaboration with Customer Support teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions.
  • Experience in complex sales involving lengthy processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is preferred.
