Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing gas turbine engine components, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify designs for gas turbine engine components, taking into account product specifications, performance requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Execute mechanical design projects for gas turbine components, including structures, rotating parts, and airfoils.
  • Evaluate new design concepts, manufacturing methods, materials, and processes, and complete required documentation.
  • Capture design and system requirements from customers and incorporate them into component designs.
  • Support technical substantiation and contribute to technical and program reviews.
  • Develop components and modules, considering cost, performance, life, and system requirements.
  • Design and analyze components using CAE tools, such as NX and ANSYS.
  • Interface with internal and external engineering functions.
  • Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve challenging engineering problems.
  • Evaluate form, fit, function, and life of components relative to certified configurations.
  • Evaluate non-conformances, recommend disposition procedures, and maximize producibility.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience in mechanical design of gas turbine or turbo-machinery components.
  • Minimum BS/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience with NX and ANSYS (Classic or Workbench) or similar tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings with understanding of GD&T.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management experience is desired but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Mostly office environments with occasional shop floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8-hour days plus lunch/40-hour weeks/core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package based on candidate experience and certifications.

Pay Ranges: $77,500-$92,500 USD
