Client Executive - Telecommunications


Slalom is in search of a Client Executive based in Seattle to enhance our presence within a prominent wireless telecom client.

You will collaborate closely with leaders across various capabilities and markets to position Slalom as the preferred consulting partner for transformation initiatives in both business and technology.

The Client Executive will engage with colleagues throughout Slalom to introduce innovative ideas, craft compelling proposals, and deliver exceptional results, thereby expanding Slalom's consulting reach with current clients and creating opportunities with new ones.

This leader will also provide solutions that enrich our transformation narrative and build upon our robust foundation with existing strategic and emerging partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Realize our vision of accelerating growth and innovation for technology companies, establishing ourselves as their trusted consulting partner through thought leadership and consistent delivery of business results.

Client Engagement:

o Industry Expertise:
Possess deep knowledge, enthusiasm, and thought leadership regarding the significant changes driving transformation in the wireless sector. Ability to apply industry insights within a client context and provide a thoughtful perspective.

o Client Relations:
Experience working closely with Sales Executives, Capability Leaders, and Delivery Leaders to foster relationships at the executive level. Proficient in managing escalations and proactively addressing issues at the executive level to mitigate risks.

o Portfolio Oversight:
Collaborated with Sales Executives to develop comprehensive account plans for complex, multi-market accounts.

o Project Leadership:
Identified opportunities to engage subject matter experts to enhance project delivery. Contributed to thought leadership aimed at improving client satisfaction scores.

Account Management:

o Business Growth:
Led proposal development and partnered with the Pursuit Team to execute sales strategies. Directed negotiations and closure of business opportunities.

o Financial Acumen:
Understand the complexities of managing operations across multiple accounts.

Experience with procurement processes and the variations across different client sizes and industries.


Seattle Collaboration & Leadership:

o Strategic Alignment:
Collaborate closely with local market leaders to align global account strategies with local market objectives.

o Collaborative Practices:

Work in partnership with Slalom practices to define service offerings that address the needs of the technology sector, bringing those offerings to market and delivering capabilities through project execution.



o Market Representation:
Advocate for Slalom in the industry by participating in events, panels, and speaking engagements.

About You

  • Professional Background
o 5 years of experience in professional services account or delivery management

o 7 years of relevant experience in the wireless and/or telecom sector, either in-house or in consulting

  • Consulting Expertise
o Experience managing transformational initiatives that integrate people, processes, and technology.

o Proven track record of meeting utilization targets

o Hands-on experience with contract negotiations including NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs

o Experience overseeing the performance of individual consultants, whether as direct reports or project team members

o Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

o Exceptional writing skills with extensive experience creating polished content for client executives

o Comprehensive experience in oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all managed engagements

o Awareness of industry best practices and business drivers for specific client portfolios, with an understanding of how Slalom Practice Areas interconnect

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is dedicated to helping team members thrive in both their professional and personal lives.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $245,000 for Director and $170,000 to $220,000 for Senior Principal.

Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on individual skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
