Role Summary:
The Financial Assistant will provide support to the accounting department in daily financial operations, including data entry, account reconciliation, and the generation of financial statements. This position is perfect for individuals with a strong attention to detail and a passion for accounting, who are eager to enhance their skills in a vibrant business setting.

Key Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and upkeep of financial documents, reports, and statements.
  • Conduct data entry while ensuring precision in financial transactions.
  • Support the reconciliation of bank statements along with accounts payable and receivable.
  • Help in the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Contribute to maintaining the general ledger by posting entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement tasks.
  • Help prepare documentation for audits and other financial evaluations.
  • Maintain organized and current financial records and filing systems.
  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payments and invoices.
  • Perform additional related tasks as directed by the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping position is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
