Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Summit Federal Services, LLC. As an AR Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving overdue accounts, ensuring timely payment, and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delinquent Account Management: Contact customers with overdue accounts to secure payment while maintaining professionalism and resolving disputes diplomatically.
  • Negotiation and Payment Planning: Work with clients to establish payment arrangements that meet company guidelines and ensure compliance with fair debt collection practices.
  • Payment Activity Monitoring: Track payment schedules and follow up on missed payments to ensure timely resolution.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies related to payments or billings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Record Maintenance: Accurately document communication with customers in the company's database, maintaining a clear and transparent record of interactions.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the collections process, generating reports on collection activities, account status, and payment histories for management review.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of Collections experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: MS Office (especially Excel) and strong communication skills to negotiate effectively and handle sensitive financial situations.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple accounts and transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of handling complex account issues and resolving disputes diplomatically.
  • Customer Service: Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring payment compliance.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume collections environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite) a plus.
  • Experience in media publication industry a plus.
