Key Responsibilities:- Delinquent Account Management: Contact customers with overdue accounts to secure payment while maintaining professionalism and resolving disputes diplomatically.
- Negotiation and Payment Planning: Work with clients to establish payment arrangements that meet company guidelines and ensure compliance with fair debt collection practices.
- Payment Activity Monitoring: Track payment schedules and follow up on missed payments to ensure timely resolution.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies related to payments or billings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Record Maintenance: Accurately document communication with customers in the company's database, maintaining a clear and transparent record of interactions.
- Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the collections process, generating reports on collection activities, account status, and payment histories for management review.
- Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of Collections experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: MS Office (especially Excel) and strong communication skills to negotiate effectively and handle sensitive financial situations.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple accounts and transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of handling complex account issues and resolving disputes diplomatically.
- Customer Service: Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring payment compliance.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume collections environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite) a plus.
- Experience in media publication industry a plus.
