Position Overview: Pinellas County is in search of a skilled and collaborative Senior Grant Financial Analyst to oversee fiscal management related to significant funding initiatives. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing financial oversight for the allocation of substantial grant resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee project budgets associated with grant funding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective budget coordination across various projects.
  • Interpret and apply federal laws and regulations governing grant expenditures.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial activities to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to stakeholders, including management and governing bodies.
  • Act as a liaison for county departments regarding grant-funded initiatives.
  • Utilize technology tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial management tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to grant programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven years of professional experience in grant management, or
  • An Associate's degree in finance, accounting, business, public administration, or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or
  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, public administration, or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or
  • A Master's degree with one year of relevant experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel for meetings across various locations.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including during emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in local government settings.
  • Experience in managing federal programs.
  • Familiarity with project management systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of federal and state grant programs and related fiscal procedures.
  • Proficiency in grant acquisition principles and environmental management.
  • Awareness of relevant laws and regulations governing grant management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute complex grant management tasks.
  • Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficient in using computer software for data management and analysis.
  • Ability to maintain detailed records and conduct financial performance analysis.
