Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiencies at their designated location. This position involves delivering timely insights to the management team by identifying trends, ensuring adherence to budgets, and providing influential financial data to business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and report variances in manufacturing costs and material standards to uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate actively in the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions and obligations.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the operations finance team to enhance processes and information flow.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop tools, models, and analyses that assess key performance indicators, benchmark costs, and support capacity investments.
  • Translate complex financial and accounting information into understandable concepts to enhance employee understanding.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for assigned locations, encompassing both expense and capital spending.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, supplier audits, and relevant state and federal regulations.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in problem definition, data collection, and articulating insights to drive recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, financial methodologies, tools, and strategies.
  • Familiarity with processes and tools for maintaining organizational financial records and preparing financial statements.

Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work on-site at the assigned production location for a minimum of 3-4 days a week to foster relationships with the operations team.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
