Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Weapons Storage and Security System (WS3) Service Life Program (SLEP). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing research, planning, design, development, testing, and evaluation of mechanical components, systems/subsystems, and products for defense systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support research, planning, design, development, testing, and evaluation of mechanical components, systems/subsystems, and products for defense systems.
  • Assist with establishing design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
  • Analyze engineering issues through simulation and/or analysis to recommend component substitutions or redesign solutions.
  • Provide support in maintaining and improving the design of existing mechanical components, systems/subsystems, and products, including identifying, analyzing, and resolving obsolescence issues.
  • Gather, compile, and maintain technical data such as test results, engineering design changes, engineering drawings, and engineering documentation.
Requirements
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field, or 0 years of experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience designing, developing, building, analyzing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems.
  • Active SECRET security clearance required.
