Labor Relations Manager Position

Job Title: Labor Relations Manager
About the Role:
The Labor Relations Manager will lead and manage Maimonides Health's labor relations activities, including contract negotiations with labor unions, grievance handling, and interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and bargaining agreements.
- Manage effective relationships with union representatives, fostering open communication.
- Collaborate with human resources and legal departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements.
- Analyze labor relations data to identify areas for improvement and develop proactive strategies.
- Develop and deliver programs for managers and supervisors on effective labor law practices, including union avoidance strategies and positive employee relations.
- Provide expert advice to senior management on best practices and risk management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. J.D. strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience in labor relations, strongly preferred within the healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
