Labor Relations Field Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Labor Relations Field Operations Manager to join our team at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing labor-management relations functions for operating Divisions, including assisting with the equitable and expeditious adjudication of disciplinary cases in accordance with NYCT's progressive discipline policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advocate for assigned operating Divisions at pre-arbitration discipline and grievance hearings
* Manage caseload and investigate labor relations disputes to ensure consistent, proper application of collective bargaining agreements
* Advise Division and field management on contractual and policy issues
* Prepare status reports, statistics, and recommendations in response to grievances and contract violations
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Public Administration, Law, or related field
* Minimum 6 years related experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial and/or leadership role in a large, multi-faceted, fast-paced organization or governmental body
* Demonstrated supervisory and/or leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with the MTA's policies and procedures
* Familiarity with the MTA's collective bargaining procedures
