About the Position

The UCLA Chemistry & Biochemistry Department is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator 2 to join their team. As a key member of the department, you will provide administrative support to the faculty and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to faculty and staff, including scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate departmental events, meetings, and conferences, including arranging logistics, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Manage and maintain departmental databases, including tracking student progress, faculty research, and departmental finances.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures to improve departmental efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments and units to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions
