Role Overview

We are seeking an Associate to become a vital part of our Hedge Fund Finance team. This position entails hands-on operational responsibilities for managing hedge and private equity fund of funds and access fund vehicles in collaboration with third-party administrators. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of fund accounting and financial reporting to investors, including capital activities, partner capital statements, annual audited financials, and tax deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with underlying fund managers, fund administrators, and distributors.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for effective fund servicing, collaborating closely with management to enhance and automate key workflows.
  • Coordinate with Investor Relations, Product, Legal and Compliance, Technology, Sales, and Marketing teams to facilitate fund operations.
  • Engage in new fund structuring, setup, and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee fund administrators and other service providers, including auditors, tax service providers, and custodians.
  • Monitor cash positions and liquidity of investments, ensuring accurate reconciliations and management of cash reserves.
  • Administer accounts payable and expense allocation processes.
  • Define, update, and maintain operational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with custodians and banks, as well as other counterparties as necessary.
  • Work with legal counsel and the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with fund documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as required by the team and various departments.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or finance operations, preferably with a focus on alternative investment funds.
  • Strong interest in leveraging innovative technology.
  • Advanced accounting skills, with experience in an audit environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team structure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a holistic view of operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic business setting.
Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000. iCapital offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
