Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily financial operations for the credit fund, ensuring precise accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews and approvals of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations prepared by the fund administrator.
  • Work closely with the CFO to create and implement innovative accounting policies and procedures that align with the objectives of the new REIT.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the fund administrator, promoting effective communication and coordination of accounting tasks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed budgets, forecasts, and thorough financial analyses.
  • Provide essential support during audit processes and act as a primary liaison for external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience working with fund administrators, particularly with platforms like SS&C or similar.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements specific to REITs and credit funds.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
