This pivotal position will provide essential support to the CFO of a newly formed non-traded REIT, emphasizing credit strategy. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in accounting management and a history of effective collaboration with fund administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily financial operations for the credit fund, ensuring precise accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Perform comprehensive reviews and approvals of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations prepared by the fund administrator.
- Work closely with the CFO to create and implement innovative accounting policies and procedures that align with the objectives of the new REIT.
- Serve as the main point of contact with the fund administrator, promoting effective communication and coordination of accounting tasks.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to key stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed budgets, forecasts, and thorough financial analyses.
- Provide essential support during audit processes and act as a primary liaison for external auditors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience working with fund administrators, particularly with platforms like SS&C or similar.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements specific to REITs and credit funds.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
