Creative Financial Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join a prominent client in the financial sector. This pivotal position will assist the Chief Financial Officer of a newly formed non-traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a concentration on credit strategies. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in accounting oversight and a demonstrated history of collaborating with fund administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily accounting functions for the credit fund, ensuring precise accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews and approvals of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations generated by the fund administrator.
  • Work closely with the CFO to devise and execute innovative accounting policies and procedures that align with the objectives of the new REIT.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the fund administrator, promoting effective communication and coordination of accounting tasks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to essential stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of detailed budgets, forecasts, and extensive financial analyses.
  • Provide essential support during audit processes and act as a primary liaison for external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degree or CPA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience working with fund administrators, especially SS&C or similar platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulatory standards specific to REITs and credit funds.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
