**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with families to provide home visiting services, promote healthy child development, and encourage personal growth.
**Responsibilities**
As a Family Support Specialist, you will:
- Provide home visiting services to young parents, teaching them about proper baby care and promoting nurturing and attachment.
- Work with parents to achieve personal goals and develop effective parenting skills.
- Participate in group support with families and community outreach to improve access to services.
- Serve as a role model and provide support and encouragement to parents and their families.
- Track and maintain participant data as required.
- Disseminate information about early prenatal care, parenting education, and child abuse prevention in the community.
- Participate in on-the-job training in infant care, nutrition, and parenting skills.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma and three to five years of early childhood experience or a bachelor's degree in social work, early childhood education, or a related field.
- Travel is required, and you will need reliable transportation, a valid MA driver's license, and a safe driving record.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Bilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, or Haitian Creole is an asset.
**Benefits**
We offer a competitive salary of $27.10 per hour, plus benefits, including medical, dental, holiday pay, paid earned leave, and retirement plans.
