Job Summary

We are seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator - Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating groups and activities in the community, educating individuals about community resources and services, and fostering independence, hope, inspiration, and a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate groups and activities in the community to support individuals in their recovery goals.
  • Provide education and support to individuals about community resources and services available to them.
  • Foster independence, hope, inspiration, and a sense of community among individuals served.
  • Provide advocacy, support, education, information, and training in recovery tools to individuals served.
  • Assist individuals in identifying and assessing resources, services, and support that they need and desire within their communities.
  • Support the development of self-advocacy skills and other strategies that promote recovery by teaching and modeling these skills.
  • Create a welcoming and helpful Recovery Learning Center environment in which participants, family, friends, and others important in the lives of participants are welcomed, respected, and valued.

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED Certificate is required. CPR and First Aid may be required within two weeks of hire. CPSS and other training as assigned.
