Overview of the Position
The Technical Project Manager is tasked with spearheading project and program technical initiatives, ensuring the delivery of superior and consistent results for clients. This role involves formulating and executing strategies and standards while offering direction and leadership to project teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and collaborating with various service channels. The Project Manager will provide technical oversight and continuously assess all facets of project and program execution to guarantee success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical integrity of outcomes delivered to clients.
  • Coordinate with all other delivery streams within the account.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for project-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Computacenter's PMO, Sales, Solution Sales, Consultancy, Integration Center, and onsite teams involved in a project.
  • Lead and engage with subject matter experts from Consultancy as required for each project.
  • Interface with key technical stakeholders from the client throughout the project/program lifecycle.
  • Ensure customer approval at the technical closure stage.
  • Generate necessary technical documentation for each project phase, such as Site Survey, Rack Design Documents, and Technical Workbooks.
  • Review and approve internal technical documentation.
  • Deliver technical documentation to internal teams and the Integration Center.
  • Provide training on technical requirements within internal teams.
  • Participate in First Article Builds and Proof of Concepts.
  • Serve as the technical escalation contact for internal teams, including Integration Center, Field Engineering, and Consulting Team.
  • Oversee and vet onsite resources to ensure that the right skill sets are utilized to meet Computacenter's implementation standards.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to onsite personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for Project Engineers.
  • Contribute to the Statement of Work (SOW) and Level of Effort (LOE) for new and ongoing opportunities.
  • Embrace and uphold Computacenter's mission and core values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the installation, configuration, enhancement, and/or maintenance of enterprise environments.
  • Experience with large-scale workplace deployments.
  • Relevant industry certifications (BICSI, CCNA, JNCIA) are advantageous.
  • Experience in data center solutions and associated certifications is a plus.
  • Experience in low voltage or audio-visual solutions and related certifications is a plus.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present effectively in group settings.
  • Professional self-starter, capable of collaborating effectively with others.
  • Expertise in the latest technologies relevant to the field, with the ability to convey these technologies in layman's terms.
  • Highly organized and knowledgeable about project implementation timelines and processes.
  • Competent to advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Visio.
  • Possess a sense of urgency along with strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
