Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Business Strategy is tasked with spearheading a strategy and analytics team that functions similarly to an internal consulting group, collaborating closely with T-Mobile's executive leadership for Business. This role involves applying advanced problem-solving techniques to provide insights that facilitate critical strategic and operational decisions, thereby driving the rapid expansion of T-Mobile for Business across various markets, including industry segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research, analysis, and development of business cases to evaluate and prioritize opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish the organization's vision, strategies, and tactical plans.
  • Recruit, develop, and assess a team of strategists and analysts focused on identifying T-Mobile's market positioning.
  • Discover new business opportunities, ecosystems, partnerships, and markets for current and near-term solutions.
  • Oversee a team of strategy and business analysis leads addressing complex analytical challenges.
  • Enable the team to extract and analyze data, synthesize findings, and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Present intricate analytical results in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Support executive strategy presentations.
  • Utilize a hypothesis-driven approach and structured frameworks to develop recommendations efficiently.
  • Build and maintain essential internal partnerships, fostering trust with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively across different functional groups to influence decisions on opportunities and recommendations.
  • Encourage team members to cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, enhancing buy-in.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Analysis, Finance, Technology, or a related field (Required).
  • Master's/Advanced Degree, such as an MBA (Preferred).
Experience:
  • 2-4 years of direct supervision and management experience (Required).
  • 7-10 years in a strategy or analytics role, with at least 3 years in management consulting or corporate strategy, preferably in the wireless or high-tech sectors (Required).
Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a consulting-style approach to deconstruct complex issues.
  • Broad analytical capabilities, including insights on large data sets and predictive analytics.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Experience in creating executive-level presentations with compelling narratives.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and identify strengths and opportunities.
  • Financial analysis proficiency, including the ability to interpret income statements and balance sheets.
  • Effective team management skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this role varies based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses and stock grants.
