About the Role

Medallia is seeking a highly skilled Staff Technical Program Manager to join our Research & Development PMO Team. As a key leader, you will have a unique opportunity to directly impact Medallia's strategic goals by leading multiple concurrent strategic initiatives and programs, spanning across several different teams and organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple concurrent strategic initiatives and programs, varying in size, scope, and complexity.
  • Take personal responsibility for the success and health of the strategic initiatives under your care and act as a change agent to drive operational efficiencies into process, people, and tooling.
  • Proactively manage technical challenges and risks in all assigned areas, working with teams and management to mitigate these risks before they become issues.
  • Maintain a deep, technical end-to-end understanding of the solution being built, its upstream and downstream dependencies, and impacts, as well as the resulting customer journey experienced by our users.
  • Be sought after by leadership for "the real story" and craft communications that can be consumed at different levels of the organization, from executive-level presentations to materials consumed by engineering and program teams.
  • Propose solutions and consult on platform and roadmap changes, championing long-lasting architecture and documentation.
  • Shield team members by answering both technical and business-related questions on behalf of the team.
  • Continually pursue delivery excellence by increasing team velocity, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Understand cloud-based software development, web services, APIs, and cloud computing.
  • Amplify your impact by educating and mentoring the TPM and Engineering communities on program management best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution of the organization as a whole, increasing engineering productivity through tools and process improvements.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in Product/Engineering/PMO.
  • 5+ years of experience working closely with C-level executives.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud/SaaS.
  • Demonstrated program management experience with large-scale initiatives leading broad programs across organizations in a matrixed, globally diverse workforce.
  • Deep knowledge of Software Development & Product Life Cycle Methodologies and Go-To-Market.
  • Advanced understanding of SDLC, Project Management, Product Life-Cycle Methodologies, Best Practices, and how to apply them.
  • Advanced understanding of Jira/Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of people management skills.
  • PMP, CSM, CPO, PgMP, IAPM, CISSP, ITIL, Six Sigma certifications.
  • Experience managing the creation of AI solutions and taking them to market.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Acquisition Integration experience.
  • Adept at cultural change management.
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic environment not slowed down by ambiguity or competing priorities.
  • Able to effectively modulate the presentation of information based on your audience, from C-level executives to individual contributors.
